Front bumper repair/replace
down the road at night on a rural road, and a raccoon ran out in front of the car. The raccoon certainly got the worst of it, but the car took some damage as well. The lip that runs under the intercooler grill is cracked clean through. Can that be repaired or is replacement the key? If replaced, what's the better unit to get, OEM (must be real pricey I'm guessing) or aftermarket? If aftermarket, which fits the best? Thanks, guys.

1. Find a bodyshop you trust
2. Ask them how much it would cost to repair the section and repaint the bumper (or if you're lucky, just that lower center section)
3. Compare that to price of a Suvneer bumper + repaint
You are correct, a new OE unit will not make since financially - they are very expensive. So expensive, that a lot of E63s are running the Suvneer unit. Beware though, there are other E63 style bumpers that are not an excellent match like the Suvneer one is. Good luck!
If it is OEM, repairing is an option. A good way to tell is the OEM/USA bumpers have side reflectors.
If you want to upgrade from your aftermarket to OEM you will need a considerable amount of OEM parts. Figure over $2k, just in parts.
Best of luck!
