EDIT: *****SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD******|||||||||
=========================================
Hey all - Got the car with 1 almost brand new tire and 3 bad ones. Got a full set of new Michelin ones so this Conti is for sale.
It's a Continental Contiprosport 3 sized 265/35/R18 - OEM size for OEM rear wheel on w211 E55.
Tread Depth is between 8/32" and 9/32"
(new is 10/32)
New they are $221 on tirerack.
My price is $125 for a fellow forum member.
I'd keep as a spare but my new tires are 275/35/18...
Located in Westchester NY / Greenwich CT
PM me if interested, don't mind driving a little bit to meet up.

I need to check the date code on the tire, but I think it was replaced/installed in 7/2017 according to carfax though could have been more recently. However, the car only put about 2k on it from 7/2017 to 08/2019 when I bought the car. I'll check the code on the tire but Im sure it wont be older than 2017 date code which is fine for 2019/20. I will check the code to make sure.
I couldn't tell you the true difference really going wider because when I got the car 3 tires needed replaced and this one was the only newish one on the car, so I bought all 4 new ones and decided to go up a size because I like having more tire on the car and by doing some forum searching seemed like the way to go. Having more tire to a certain point is generally "good," however, I do not think it is enough to notice unless you are really driving at the limit of the tires... do a search on the forum I think 285 fit in most situations but may be mistaken.
