Looking for Rims 18 x 9 E 55
Hi all,
The NYC streets have struck again and I'm looking for 1 rim or a set of rear rims for my 05 E55. The Split Spoke ones, either used in good condition or new. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction
Gotta keep the car on the road. Like I recently posted I just had the fuel tank issue taken care of, upgraded brakes, and E 63 headlights and rear lights. More mods to follow to soon.
Thanks,
Adesola

Yullie36,
Thanks much. I'm going to check them. It's a front they have listed , but maybe they also have rears.
Love what you're doing to your car btw!!!

I'm also thinking about getting a Quaife LSD $$$$ installed next year, I'm currently awaiting a quote from my shop. I'm thinking between $600-800. But we will see

I've installed a new Alcantara steering wheel, new CF instrument cluster, and as yet to arrive CF interior trim & shift knob. Now I'm addressing the head bolts issue with preventative maintenance, as my car has just passed the 87K mark. I definitely think that this is over-exaggerated.
I've been told by many others, that around 90K is when you start to have issues, with the broken head bolts. Although I haven't experienced any of these issues personally. And to be totally honest, I don't want to. So spend a few thousand now, or spend several thousand later.
That's my justification. But there are many E63 owners that haven't had any issues, and they have a lot more miles than me. But my car is one of those effected with inferior head bolts. But once my head bolts are addressed, no more worrying about the inevitable.
My car already has an under-drive crank pulley, and Kleeman headers installed. A Limited Slip Differential would definitely finish it off nicely for me. But first things first, head bolts and interior trim.

at $165 a wheel I got both front and rear done for the price of one refurb'd. I had to bring the rims in for that price, but some places will let you leave the car. BTW elite also sells rims. I asked my body guy who he used and that's how I picked them. Very happy with the results. Went from multiple wheel weights to 2 very small ones. I can tell the difference in ride quality at high speed highway cruising.
I'm pretty sure this is their ebay store https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Be...MAAOSwe5ZdaApK

It must be really hard, having nice wheels riding on low profile tires living in the North East. Dodging potholes must be a daily ritual.
I've had a my run in with potholes, hot one earlier this year, that required to fix a bent wheel. Not fun....

I just went through this same situation this spring. So you probably have a small crack on the rim lip where it's also bent. Hence the slow leak. You have some choices, buy a brand new OEM rim(s) $$$$. Buy a refurbished rim $$$ or have the one(s) you have refurb'd $$. I chose to have my mine refurb'd. My rationale; I know how bad the rim is before it's refur'd. Some rims shouldn't be saved, but they are and sold to the uninformed. I used https://eliterimrepair.com/
