Question Need to replace Oil Cooler Lines/Hose A2115000075 WIS question

Hi,

My E55 has developed a(nother) leak in the oil cooler lines. I've tinkered around and fixed it already once, after due to shot motor mounts and a lifting engine one of the fittings or the hose in the fitting cracked, and now the hose itself developed a crack. I think now the time has come to replace the complete hose.

Since I have a pre 10/2003 (or was it 10/2004) E55, it has only one oil cooler and the part number should be A2115000075.
Is there a WIS document on how to replace A2115000075 and could someone please upload it for me? Or maybe even better could someone explain how to find it in WIS, should such a document exist? I tried searching for the part number, for oil cooler, oil cooler lines/hose, and a few other things, but I'm apparently not fit enough to find anything in WIS...

If there is no WIS document regarding this, does anyone know the torque specs for the screws and the fittings? Do I have to seal the fittings at the oil cooler somehow (Teflon tape?)?

I guess it should be an easy swap, but I was wondering about WIS and the torque specs.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

211-500-00-75 is actually the oil cooler lines and not the oil cooler itself. 211-500-04-00 is the oil cooler number just based on searching by the above part. I would need your VIN to verify for sure, so double check that. I PM'd you the EPC page for reference.

In WIS, on the left side (chapters so to speak), you can scroll down to "18" which is "Engine Lubrication, Engine Oil Cooling"
Select all documents on the right.
There's actually two different engine oil coolers in my CLS55. The stand alone "radiator" cooler, and the normal heat sink cooler attached to the oil filter housing which is the one I believe you're referencing.
There's two documents with the same name: "Remove and Install Engine Oil Cooler" on my WIS. One article relates to one. One article relates to the other.
The instructions to remove the lines are in there.

If you PM me your VIN I can send you the correct instructions if you can't find them.

Hello,

Thank you. I'll check it out and try to find it, when I get back home from work. On the pic you send me it's part 190 that I need to replace.

What I like to know is the torque specs for the bolts (# 180 on the parts pic) and if I need to seal the other end that goes into the little extra radiator somehow...

done.

Haven't heard back so far. Does maybe anyone else know the torque specs for the bolts?

Next problem: I'd like to replace the bolts, but they are discontinued. Does anyone know with what the bolt N910143006000 was replaced? My EPC still gives me that part number as current, but the dealer website says discontinued and doesn't offer a replacement...

I am having the same oil coolant issues with my E55 AMG, can anyone direct me to the a DYI write up on changing the oil coolant hoses?
