CLS63??

Hi guys,

someone in my area is selling wheels from a CLS63. He states they are front 19x8.5 et 30 and rear 19x9.5 et 31? Will these offsets fit on my w211 E55? Also what is the max tire I could fit on these??

Thanks

Two things:

As I understand it those wheels are 25et front and 28et rear.
When buying OE AMG wheels always ask for ****s from the inner barrel showing part#, size and offset.
Either offset, they will work well on a w211 AMG.
Good luck, I hop it woks out.

With that offset, what tires will work best?

As Worth the wait said, those CLS wheels should be 25et front and 28et rear. I have them on my car and they came off a CLS55, maybe CLS63s had the same style wheel but different offset? The 25 and 28 are pretty aggressive IMO, I wouldn't get anything with a lower offset than that, although if you go with a higher offset you can get away with a bit wider wheel

I have CLS wheels as well, could’ve sworn my ET are 28 fronts and 30 rear. I can verify but I tried 285/30/19 rears and it rubbed with fenders rolled so I’m running 275 in the rear now, Lowered and no more rub. Ftonts I’m running 245/35/19, was thinking going 255 but I’m staying with 245 cause I noticed a slight notch on the inner front fender that might be from a bump; my ride height is semi aggressively low. I’ll try to post photos. I’m running Pirreli Centura (???) in the rears and Michelin Super Sport on the fronts, still in the stage of testing out tire brands; bought the set used for $240 and frankly I’m pretty happy with both brand of tires. They riding real well for the price and it’s been 6 months now with not much wear on them and I’ve beat them up on a regular basis.

good luck on your purchase.

have to remember that different tyre brands have different carcass widths, even when the tyre width is the same number. ie: a Bridgestone 275 could be wider than a Michelin 275.

might have to suck it and see if you want to go really wide?

He said they are stamped BBS made in germany. I will confirm when he sends me pics. He said when he bought them, he was expecting 25 front and 28 rear also. He said they are prob not from the Cls 63. The offsets I know that are et30 and et31 are from an SL65.

Either way, what do you guys think of 255 35 19 front and 285 30 19 rear with this offset?

Look up AMGMeister on Youtube. He has SL550 wheels, the rears are 18x9.5 et 33. At his ride height, I think he was only able to run certain brands of 285s. Can't remember if he ended up going to 275s. So it depends how low you are and which specific tire you go with
