Potential E55 owner
Hey everyone, been lurking on the forums for a while learning and researching as much as I can. I've come across a 2005 E55 with roughly 160,000 miles on it as seen in this advertisement.

In talking with the owner, he has completed up to maintenance service 13 (with receipts) along with replacing the following since he has owned it: radiator, supercharger pulley (stock), AC compressor, Drier/expansion valve flush, Blower motor and regulator, engine/trans mounts, both belts, spark plugs, engine air filters, as well as new SBC unit and fuel tank under the warranty extension. The air suspension is still stock except for the compressor that was replaced but he is including another set of air struts with the purchase when the current ones go bad.
I feel like he's done a great job maintaining the car. Is there anything else that should be addressed that hasn't already? I've never owned a Mercedes but have always worked on my own cars and plan to for this one. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like it is worth a pre purchase inspection at the dealer preferably or a really good independent shop. That is your best way to try and avoid major issues. I would suggest keeping $3k spare for unexpected repairs, airmatic etc.

I've seen that car in person at Eurocharged ATX, IIRC that is owned by the wife of one of the guys at the shop. Are you local? If so, definitely go check that E55 out in person. I've considered that same E55 as well but I don't think I really need another AMG at the moment.
