Battery warning

2005 e55amg. Had main battery disconnected over summer for storage. When I reconnected, I am getting red warning-battery display. Car runs OK.
Is this a sign that the aux battery is not good? Needs charging?

Sorry but in what kind of hot climate are you living having to hibernate your car for summer?
