Back in 2011 I did a post called "Intercooler pump you didnt know about" here on MBworld. I never felt comfortable calling an OEM part a performance part and selling it to an unknowing buyer as a performance upgrade. So rather than make it the "official MBH pump" then add some catchy name like "Super Duper Flow pump" I just dropped that info here in MBworld for all like minded performance junkies to use. So to follow up on that, I stumbled on a really good deal on the CWA100 pump with a mounting bracket and a connector. Obviously you cut on end of the connector and splice that end into your cars electrical system. In any event, aand without any more delay. The price they show includes EU taxes, but for those of us in the US the price drops almost 30$ after you proceed through checkout and EU taxes are removed. I bought one from them a while back with the connector came out to about $280 shipped.

Oh no, from summit?! Hopefully they are good about returns. Did you put a full 12V straight to the control wire or mess with a PWM controller or anything like that?
No just put a power and ground to the two wires, white and black, and nothing, just a tiny little spark. It only has a two wire connector, am I missing something ??
Bought it on line but it is in a Ford box brand new.
OK....I am a little stupid. These pumps do not instatly turn on, there is a 3 second delay and it will slowly spin up. Unfortunatly it wont work with my dual tank set up because all pumps have to be instantly on to keep the tanks balanced with water.
On a side note I did some back to back testing with my Johnson pump and this new one. The CWA pumps absolutly kicks the crap out of the Johnson. Going bucket to bucket with water {5 gallon"} it will empty one bucket 3 times faster than the Johnson !! Crazy flow and pressure...or open flow rate pressure so to speak but can't test dead headed pressure !!!!
OK just got done with install. As some of you know I run a dual tank set up ...two in tank pumps and a Johnson "helper" return pump. I have a regulator installed to keep both tanks equal and the Johnson pump is installed right before the primary return tank. I decided to install the CWA pump up front to "push" water back and all I can say is this thing kicks ***. Water flow is fantastic over the Johnson pump and I had to adjust the regulator to compensate for it do to the large increase in water flow. Money well spent for sure !!!! CWA A +++++++
Do I need to be concerned with frothing running just the pump and upgraded HE? Old pump used to see the fluid when bleeding now its all just froth!! Might need to add some more heat exchangers to slow it all down a bit..
Yep going to bleed more. I read somewhere ages ago too much pump can cause frothing as the turbulence in the water causes the water itself to degas and froth. I doubt the pump is too powerful I'll continue to bleed the system!

If youa re getting foam or frothing, you should look at your coolant fluid. Either the bump is cavitating or soemthing int eh coolant is foaming up. Are you running a water wetting agent like Royal Purple or Redline?
Pretty sure this is a CWA50 pump from a 13-14 GT500. Good upgrade, but I don't think this is a CWA100. I bought the kit. Gonna call Pierburg to confirm, but after reading a few threads on some Ford forums the consensus is it's a CWA50 and that an MB AMG pump A0005000486 (CWA100) can be had as an upgrade.
