Is this the so called snorkle mod? Just go buy the SL55's Intake tube? I will add in the AM if this is true? Does it help? Do you replace both sides or just the driver side?

Snorkel mod. Only need the driver's side. Takes 2 minutes to do.

A descend driving course...the E55 has plenty of HP as it is already...it won't help a single bit to add more HP when you don't know how to take those HPs to the othersie of the curves...

draggingcents, I think you're pretty clueless. MbenzNL knows quite a bit about the Mercedes/E55 and is very helpful around the board - granted a lot of it is in the electronics and aesthetics than actual horsepower. Nonetheless, what he said is not exactly BS. Outside of 1/4 mile track times (which the initial poster did not make evident) to just mash the accelerator, what he said has some merit.

Also do yourself and this 'planet' a favor and learn some grammar and spelling. Typographical mistakes happen - but that gibberish that you wrote above was just pathetic.

...I know that most americans are more interested in straight line driving...that is why I suggested a driving course...there is so much more fun to get out of a car when one knows how to corner it compared to just driving straight lines from one traffic light to the other...
Anybody can drive in a straight line...what is the fun of that?

just added the snorkel mod. It didn't seem much of different in size but i noticed it is abit longer which made it alittle harder to fit then i thought it would of.

some minor things u don't notice too much like this snorkel mod! maybe it's my brain thinking that since i have a new bigger snorkel it's faster and better, but to tell u the truth i do feel a little be of a change.. i highly doubt it's really noticeable but i can heard it inhale much more.. i just can't wait til i get my ecu and pulleys from renntech and then i'll prolly do the exhaust and hopefully if evosports comes up with something about the heat exchange, i'll add that too...

Houston, i've heard that the SL snorkel doesnt fit in the E55 at all. Howd you get yours to fit? Did you have to modify it in any way?

Do not use the SL's it's to long use the passenger side one of the E55.
