those look great... you talked about the weight of the rims, how does that compare to stock wheels?

Jay, those look nice. What are the front and rear offsets. The E55 front with 18X8 et31 is a pain to upgrade. You can use a 285/30/19 on that rear rim.

Nice! I really looked at those 9 spokes for a long time. Great value, IMHO, but I hadn't seen them on a w211 ever since this manufacturer is pretty new. I was waiting for BRAV to get his 15 spoke, but I'm a little too impatient so I went with the HRE's. Waiting takes forever!!!

Hey Brav,
No problem, my own impatience. I still reevaluate my decision every now and then, because I really do like the Angstrom 9-spoke. The HRE's did cost a lot more, but what the hell, you only live once.
Looking forward to seeing them on your car!

The Rim Fits But The Tire Will Rub!
One problem I have discoverd with the W210 E55 front is that most information concerning aftermarket rims, offsets, tire size, etc. is mainly from European specs. So when the wheel specs say Yes this offset or rim fits an E55 it is for that small width tire. North America is the only one with 245/40/18 fronts. The rest of the world got the W210 E55 with 235/40/18 in front. Therefore all the fitment data is mostly for the smaller Euro size.
I see many rims listed on Tire Rack and Tires.com with offsets that would fit the E55 with 235 fronts but rubbing occurs when using the 245 width. Many of the rims from Brabus and Lorinser for the W210 E55 using much lower offsets like et25 on 18X8.5 so the wheel protudes a little rather than goes in. There is hardly any room on the front to move the wheel/tire combo inward on the W210 E55.
I changed my front setup only 4mm inward and it rubbed. I went from 18X8 et31 to 18X8 et35 and the Nitto 555 tire with a broad shoulder touched the control arm bolt. I switched back to Dunlop 9000 with a rounded shoulder, it fits, but there is no more room, at all, to go inward.
So if the rims goes in more than 4mm it will not work unless you use a 235 tire. So using a 245/40/18 with anything larger than these offset will not work:
18X8 et35
18X8.5 et29
Tire Rack lists a bunch of 8.5 inch width rims and et35 and I can not believe they ever test fitted those on a W210 E55 with tires.
