I want to add a E63 bumper to my E55 wagon but my car has Distronic. I can't find any aftermarket grills with distronic except for those with the later style star in the middle which I don't want. Wondering if anyone has a stock E63 W211 grill with the Distronic shield.

I have only found this on the dealer parts sites, and MAYBE one on ebay a few years back.

 

I ran without the Distronic version and had no issues.

 

Thanks guys. I’m assuming the shield is just there to protect the Distronic unit. Wasn’t sure if the unit was programmed to account for that shield such that removing it would screw it up.

 

Wow, I just looked, $326 from dealer online. Hope it’s not a requirement for when mine goes haha
