WEISTEC TUNE
hello all,
I just recently picked up a 2009 E 63 and love it. I always wanted one and within a week of having it the mods have started. I got the resonator deleted, perfect combo of loudness and tone for me, visual blacked out mods and weistec air filters in the mail. my question for all you is has anyone else done the $900 weistec tune for advertised 69+hp? just from advertised numbers adding the filters and tune would put it close to 600 at the crank which sounds very appealing to me. Havent come across any videos of just the tune in play or many other resources so just trying to get a feel for the tune if anyones had it. thanks in advanced!

Congrats! I too have a 2009. I think they are over estimating as all the vendors do pretty much the same tune and already proven to get about 35-40whp/wtq (50 at the crank tops). So I wouldn't believe it too much or wonder what else they modded.
not possible for a 91/93 octane tune to add 69+ hp on an E63.
i'd be weary about any blanket term like that.

I have a Carbonio CF Intake, Kleeman Headers and Underdrive Crank Pulley, and my conservative estimate is 525 hp. Granted I don’t have a tune. 🤔

It will not be anywhere near what you think that would be. It looks like the advertised gain for m156 engine is from 450 or so hp based of off regular C63 amg. Keep in mind that it also requires ROW air boxes. E63 is rated at 507hp from the factory so gains will be much less than 60hp. More like 20. I don’t have one but I was debating on one for my wagon. From other forum members opinions seems like drivability improves a lot with this tune. Other forum members could correct me if I am wrong.
