Trunk tank install help please :)
Hey all, I am trying to install a trunk tank in my E55 and I really need some help. I've been scouring this forum for weeks trying to find information i need but I can't. I know how I want to run the hoses, an idea I got off multiple members on this forum ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I want to run them though the bulkhead of the trunk and over the subframe but I'm worried about drilling though said bulkhead as I'm not sure what is behind it, i.e fuel lines, electronics etc. Or is is safe to start drilling?
It probably won't hurt to mention that it is RHD also
Any help would be much appreciated![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cheers
Adam

I did not run the lines over the frame. Mine go along side the wheel well and than through the body as it was the cleanest shortest route. The whole job was a real pain in the *** to get the 3/4 lines with no kinks or anything like that.

This might be a better option for me. Where did you have the hoses exit the trunk to get them to the wheel well? My battery is located on the right hand side of the trunk also. Not at the back like some.

They come out through the top of the wheel well and than to the twin tanks where the spare tire was.
I can take a picture with my phone and send it to you if you want.
