Reverse Gear Solenoid

Hi All,
I have the E55 AMG with 722.6 gearbox.
Yesterday I went to pull into my driveway after a quick drive and popped her into reverse, the dash display changed to R, car didnt move so I thought maybe needs a touch of throttle but engine revved as if in neutral.
change back to D with a small jerk, back to R with another small jerk and reversed fine.
Anyone had similar issues and is there a solenoid that managed the R gear change? I planned to drain ATF next week and install new conductor plate even before this happened.
If it is a potential solenoid Id rather replace that too while the pan is off

No solenoid. Check your linkage adjustment first and make sure it is perfectly lined up when in gear.
