chasing down a knock in the steering it happens when changing steering direction in the opposite direction among with a clank in parking buildings when going over ramps and turning. I've done the mount bushes and tie rods,and had the preload adjusted. The whole rack flexes a little as you move the steering and as you can see the steering column coupler? in the video doesn't seem straight. Would anyone mind checking theirs for me to see if its similar or letting me know if I need replace or adjust. thanks friends....
when I did the mount bushings I noticed I do not have a backing plate above the rack as seen on e55 diys but thought maybe it fine coz cls55

Did you check your thrust arms?

That is normal. It is not straight for safety reasons, it is offset in the event of a crash it collapses to the side, meaning it won't impale the driver.

Yep front suspension is completely rebuilt in the last few years and seems in good health.
