Wink Carbon Fiber wrapped Front & Side Skirts - Home Project

In addition to me Recent Carbon Fiber Trim Project (covered in another thread: Carbon Fiber Interior Trims W211 E63), I decided to make my own Spoiler and side skirts wrapped in Carbon Fiber. I like to have something unique nobody else. It's a nice addition to the rear Diffuser I build and added some years ago
The Front Spoiler and Side Skirts were Build up from ground and wrapped in Carbon, Clear Top coated for UV protection and finished of with Ceramic coating for additional UV protection and durability

Materials:
Carbon Fiber Fabric 2x2 Twill 3k 5.8oz/197g from Composite Envisions
AMG logo's embedded into the carbon on Front Spoiler and Side Skirts
Front Spoiler Base plate 8 mm hard waterproof MDF, SIde Skirts 8 mm Polyester as Base material.
Epoxy Resin 105/207 from West System for durability. Black Resin base layer. 3 layers on top. Wet sanding in steps up to grid 800. 1 extra top layer, Wet sanding up to grid 1000
Clear Topcoat EASTWOOD 2:1 URETHANE CLEAR for UV protection and glossy finish. Wet sanding in step up to grid 3000 finish of with polish
Ceramic coating, CQ.UK 3.0 from CARPRO for additional UV protection, glossiness and durability,

Very happy with the result. Turned out quite good...actual almost a flawless finish. Fit and sits perfect and adds a great look to the aging woman :-)
At the same time I went trough quite a polish job of the whole car to finish it of with two layers of Ceramic coating. It has more than 150K on it and still looks and run like a new. Ready for the next 50K :-)

Stunning, it’s very different from what everyone’s w211 side skirts look. Will you be doing a rear bumper canard/splitter as well?

Its another homebuilt project I did a few years back. Link: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ser-build.html
The design had to be unique...noting similar to what else were available. It had to have a easy removeable center console covering a hitch adapter I occasional use for a bicycle adapter.
Covering the hitch adapter was really the reason for the project :-)

I'm now puzzling a little with an idea to change to design a little and add carbon elements matching recent projects :-)
