Anyone install Bilstein front air struts - stiffer than original?

So I had an OEM front right air strut fail a couple weeks back. I replaced both front air struts with the Bilstein B4 OE air struts from Rock Auto. Now the car is noticeably stiffer. Before the replacement the car would absorb bumps much better in comfort mode. Now it's harsher and the body rolls / moves more. If I hit a bump with the right wheel the right side of the car lifts up a little. This never happened. The old struts were not clunky. I say that in case they were just really worn out but it did not feel that way. I had 83K on them.

I got the Bilstein's over Arnotts because they claim OE performance, have the active dampening and because I have heard the Arnotts can be stiffer. Its frustrating because I loved the ride and now it's not the same.

Any advice? Anyone install these after OEM ones and notice this?

thanks for any input.

it’s because the shock part of the strut actually works now.

check back in it like 10k miles

Cool. I was thinking give time. I'll see. Another thing, when I got to Sport 1 or 2 it is not as noticeable. Before changing them I could really now, now b/c its more stiff its harder to feel any difference. I guess time will tell. thanks...
