Putting in Reverse while driving forward
Sunday-funday I stumbled upon this thread https://www.benzworld.org/threads/hi...iving.1484858/ which made me wonder what would happen if I put my W211 E63 into reverse while driving forward.

Having spent $$$ on conductor plate +valve body replacement I was nervous enough doing this around the building, let alone highway 😀 But I had to try.
But even if you did it on a manual car on a highway, you would have been fine; the transmission wouldn’t.

I used to have an old Chevy nova and we would just for fun throw it in park all the time. It would make a hell of a racket and freak people out LOL
I know on all the new Fords with electronic shifters/ dial's it will not go to reverse or park if moving forward.

It has a automatic lockout that doesn't allow you to put in reverse while moving forward. This also assist in some cars that have a manual transmission.
