Intake

My OEM intake pipes are cracked and broken in multiple places and need to be replaced.

Do you recommend OEM or upgrading to aluminum?

I heard a rumor that the aluminum pipes don't displace heat as well as the OEM pipes.

They are about the same, just throw some heat wrap on it.

Would a "high temp coating" be sufficient?

I wouldn't worry about that. Any air drawn in is moving far too quickly through them to absorb any heat.

Went went with the OEM pipes because it was cheaper and easier.

I'll tackle the throttle body and intake next year.
