Drop valve body and see. All 06 e55 came with updated solenoids from factory what year is yours?

sorry stage x is the slr tune on his website. Ultimate Stage X . Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Tcu Custom Software For E55 AMG!

stage 2 daily shifts are nice and smooth originally I had his v1 tune and the daily shifts were a bit harsh for ya wife or whatever but when I upgraded to the latest version all the low throttle input shifts were comparable to stock just not as much delay on the gear re engaging I guess. Then full throttle is just hands down way better than my old weistec tcu tune which I basically couldnt notice over stock.

Bluetops on e55 seem to be only 2006 but some of the other models had them in earlier and I imagine a lot of brown have been replaced by previous owners over the years lol.

Also if someone knows how to tell brown tops VS blue tops please post up. Visually or part numbers.

I have a few pics when mine was apart. Pics aren’t great and may not be able to read the part numbers.

I think I saw a post here that gave the trans serial number when the blue tops became standard.

. He says specifically on there not for daily driver so I kinda wonder if I should go for it hopefully it’s not to harsh

I have had 6 TCU's from Troy and have 4 different ones right now. I know just about all the changes for shifting as well as 99lightning doe's too.
Stage 1 is nice and 2 is much better in my opinion. If you have a stall converter he has them for that as well.

I have the SLR.

Its really good. The car just shifts like its supposed to in every mode. Sport and comfort are so good I dont even use manual mode anymore it just shifts right every time.

With the other tunes out there you always have a nagging feeling it isnt quite right.

New developments for egs52 control. Now have M-mode Zero Lag Instant sequential shifting with a click of a button to activate.

Explain that? Ignores your requests using paddles?? This version is what I call full sequential style mode. Instant Upshifts or Downshifts in M-Sequential Mode with paddle shifters that give firm instant shifts. TCU hardware is modified and has a custom switch to toggle M-Modes. Has regular S mode with super fast dsg style shifts, M-1 Mode, M-Sequential Style Mode Full Control
