M113k Carbon Fiber Engine Components

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can find carbon fiber engine components these days for W211 E55?
Hard to find online

Seems this hype is a few years past but I am just getting started

looking for:

Engine cover (I have the top half...I would like the bottom half)
Air boxes
Intake

Any pointers welcomed to help me find a seller

Thanks

airbox cheapest is Carbonio not sure easy to find new or used and might can still track down the Renntech box but it’s $$$$

engine cover will likely need to find a place that can lay real carbon over a stock one. The ones made back when were keen to lose mounting tabs and not able to stand to heat before cloudying. I plan to have a spare stock one over laid as my full carbon is basically trash now.

intake tubes good luck. It was Chris (mikey33) i think user name is right who got a company to Make them long ago. They have held up well.

As you stated most the parts are hard to get these days due to “lost” interest. Wish you luck to find them.

Amir_AMG That looks absolutely mint!!

What a great idea, get the carbon finish a fraction the cost and the base material is original designed to withstand engine temperatures.
My mind has immediately changed to this thanks! I will enquire about this instead and put real carbon fibre money into performance mods!

Thanks

no problem. Looks and feels great, has been on for a while now and no issues. Was done at a shop that specializes in powder coating and hydro dipping.

I have to say that the hydro dipping is the boom, this looks better than actual carbon fiber. I have the Carbonio engine cover and air boxes for my E63. But this actually looks better. 🤔

That is great and the hydro dipping won’t yellow with heat and age.

I would go with hydrodip. A few of the carbon kits out there really do not hold together very well. Contact Socal Tires on IG and tell them we sent you.

Hydro-dip stands up really well too

. I dipped the valve cover on my bike after powder coating it and it's held up really well.
