Accessory Drive Belt Part Numbers

I changed my accessory belt (NOT SUPER CHARGER BELT) last night because it was squeaking and I hadn't changed it since I owned the car. I wanted to buy a belt locally and do it same day and no one local had the OEM belt so I just wanted to share compatible belts with every one since I couldn't find it listed any where here and I had to use a size converter to figure it out.

OEM: 6K2449 Continental BELT-MULTI RIB
Same size US alternatives: K060962

I was able to grab a Gates Micro-V K060962 from O'Reillys on the way home from work, exact same size, perfect fit, and no more noise. My old belt was in bad shape, had been through a failed and wobly crank pulley as well.

Any ways, just tossing this info here in case any one searches in the future.

The correct Gates belt actually is K060966. This is the recommended belt for the M113K which is an actual replacement for the OEM.

Thanks for mentioning it!

But for reference the factory contitech belt length is 2449mm. Gates lists the K060962 effective length at 2446 and outside circumference as 2460mm, and the K060966 effective length is 2454 and outside circumference of 2468mm. So the K060962 is technically closer in length lol. I'm sure the one you mentioned will work great but probably not accurate to say it's the "correct" one implying the one I listed is not.

The part number is is from Gates website. If you enter your vehicle details, they give you all the Gates parts numbers compatible. I’m sure both would work fine. I was actually shopping for a belt and this was the part number that was showing up in many parts websites too.

I agree with you that a small difference in the size doesn’t make much of on issue. Most members here for example upgrade to a Gates Green Supercharger Belt K080505HD whereas the Gates website recommends K080507 (for stock cars).
