Bought a 2007 e63 back a few months ago, good deal for an 84k car, anyway, of course found some oil leaks and it’s getting worse. My mechanic is starting with valve cover gaskets, timing adjuster cover seals, oil cooler seals on the block and lower pan resealing, then we’ll take it from there.
The question, I found oil puddled around the intake elbow last week, will attach a photo, any ideas where this might be coming from??? Maybe the PCV line attached to the intake???
Having owned an 07 E63 since new, the only thing back there is the PCV, but that connects directly to the back of the intake plenum.
If you ever have taken your plenum apart there will be some oil that collects inside, that is why some owners have added catch cans, but there should be oil puddling.
