I suppose I should consider myself lucky... Idler pulley

Driving into work today, I felt a loss of power as I was exiting the highway. I didn't hear any noises under the hood, so I wasn't really sure what was going on. Cycled the ignition at the first stoplight, and still nothing... I was concerned but didn't hear or smell anything out of the ordinary, so I just kept going. Finally made it to work, and opened the hood, to find that my idler pulley bearing had packed up. To my surprise, it was neatly perched on a coolant hose lol.

Funny enough, I have the replacement bearings and tooling in my trunk, that I just put in there this morning (received bearings yesterday) to service the pulleys today while at work.

Mine did this not long after I bought. Luckily it was parked in front of the shop door! Lol
I now keep 2 sets of bearings in the shop.

Wow that is a fantastic result for something bad happening. Maybe I should actually install my preventative replacement pulley's I have been putting off doing.

Way longer than I care to admit lol. I don't even remember where I got them, but I put these aluminum idlers on sometime in 2009 maybe, because the stock one was rattling and loose, and these bearings have been in there ever since.

In my defense, I had put the car away for a while and was driving something else, so I forgot a ton about the car. But yea, trying now to refresh whatever possible on the car, doing most things myself.

Also, the supercharger pulley bearing has been on there for about ten years, going to do that soon... Hoping I can find a local supplier.
