Dyno procedures???
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this board and hoping that some of you can help me.
What's the best way to go about dynoing an 01 E55??
I started with the ESP off and the trans. manually in 4th gear, but it would downshift every time, regardless of stick position or kickdown button activation.
Any tips or tricks or is this the standard MO for these cars??
Thanks!!!!!

This is from dynoing my former '02 E55...
You won't be able to hold a gear with the StarCOM diagnostic tool. You'll just have to dyno above ~3200-3400rpm which is the point past where the car will NOT downshift.
I also found the best way to get around the ESP is to disconnect the module itself, it's on the passenger side of the engine bay, up by the firewall. There are a few modules there, the ESP one is labeled ESP.

Marcus
