for some reason the turbo4+hybrid C63 AMG coming is just wrong to me. I understand the rationale of it, but leave the AMG stuff alone.

I hate that its gonna have a 4 banger but even if it stays with a v8 other cars with a turbo 4 banger will be faster...

dodge has killed their hellcat engine due to emissions. we saw this coming for the C63 for some time now. i'm assuming the new car will utilize the powerful turbo 4 out of the A45S at 416hp then with an electronic assist of maybe 150hp. Or they could go the other route of installing a larger turbo to the 4cyl and using the electric motor for torque filling.

will it be the same...no...should it still be fast...assuming they get the blend right, yes.

i say make sure you keep your 6.2L powered vehicles.

I wholeheartedly agree. the M156 and the M113k are the last of their kind. no more big NA V8s and no more supercharging V8s. those days are gone. sure a new hybrid AMG will be faster but I guess I don't care. my car has a personality and I think that is what is missing nowadays with cars. stupid fast, but soulless.

I whole heartedly agree with your statement. The soul of any AMG has been the engine, ever since AMG was founded.

I do however understand the direction that all car manufacturers are being forced to go. And with that being said, I will be holding onto my M156 powered E63.

Within the next 10 yrs, V12’s, V10’s and V8’s will be phased out in favor of V6’s and I4’s.

Do you want a I4 in your next E63 or S63.......Noooo
And they still will charge you $120-130K for it. 🤔
