M113k 6.1 Liter?
Hello, I have been researching the m113k. It seems that if you take the 92mm stroke and add a 102.2 mm piston to a sleeved block you should be able to build this motor safely. My question is would an LS piston be usable with a custom rod or would it be best to use a custom piston with factory length AMG rods?

Usually cheaper to get pistons made to spec than rods. Also, running a piston from another application, especially an LS with a 2 valve head, may not have the optimum shape/clearance you would with a piston designed for your engine, even if that requires using a modified version of your piston to match the new bore sizing.

pistons will need to be designed appropriately for the combustion chambers design. additionally, stroke, rod ratio, etc will determine skirt length, ring height, etc.
as mentioned above pistons are cheaper to produce than rods. rods are the ones you may be able to use from another platform if close in spec.
