Fresh '04 E55...what to do??
I just bought my second '04 E55 a few months ago and i want to deck this one out. I dont think im gonna touch the engine but i want to do something to the exhaust. im gonna pick up some style III AMG 5-Spoke two piece wheels (the ones with the bolts) w/ tectite centers and then paint all the emblems on the car tectite as well. but what can i do to the exhaust to make it sound like a CL/SL 55 while keeping my AMG headers? I know AMG knows what theyre doin and i dont want to mess with their work. Any tips/suggestions?

Beautiful GT, one of my favorite cars. Good luck with the sale. As far as the E55 exhaust goes, you are really down to Eisenmann as they are the only ones to offer an exhaust system for the vehicle. It gives a definate increase in exhaust noise, but does give off some resonance in the cabin. Supposidly, there is a 10hp increase, but that is deglible in a car with as much power as the E55. Hope this helps.

Nah, i love the AMG headers, theyre sick. Thanks for the tip TCM, i'll keep that in mind. I dont really mind the cabin resonance, it just reminds you that youre driving a sick car. Plus, dont even try to talk about cabin resonance before youve ridden in this mustang. I got a ticket because it was too loud! Talk about setting off car alarms...

Houston, i LOVE your rims and ive been wanting to get them for the longest time. Are yours the real AMG's or are they replicas? The real ones are pretty pricy but im not sure if i should trust a replica to be of AMG quality.
