I just picked up an '08 E63 wagon on BAT, am loving this car! Figured I'd start with something easy, putting an aux cord in to connect my Android phone. Simple enough, except for the last hour (and counting) to get the shifter cover plate/bezel reinstalled. I am pretty sure I have the ashtray correctly in place, but for the life of me I can't get the front end of the shifter plate to clip back into place, and I can't see where the various tabs across the front are hanging up on the rear edge of the ashtray. Anyone got any BTDT advice? Doesn't seem like this should require a grinder.....
