Another Airmatic problem (won't go down)
Been an W211 E55 owner for more than 10 years now.
Already change like 5 air compressors, both front struts once.
Also have my car lowered via star
Now it is the opposite of what everybody had suffered here. That Cars are all the way down and won't go up... Not this time!
I don't use this car as a daily, and it was parked for a long time (4-5 months) and when I start using it again the suspension was all the way down of course, so I have to use the raise suspension switch, the car quickly was at normal height, and I t switch it again to go low, where I did set it up with star.
But it didn't
I use it for a couple of days hoping to the ECU recognize the values of all sensors but it didn't
I've already try to reprogram it with star but instead of lower it, the car is higher and higher.
I discover that the suspension does not release air pressure, even with the star connected.
I heard the selenoides activate, but did not hear the air sound.
The car is a little stiff on the rear, has a lack of traction also.
The system says that has NO codes, that everything is working OK. But it is NOT
I need help, on how to check or make the system release air, I was thinking in removing the air hoses from the struts and rear air bags, and see if this way will recognize the level values that the star program the system or if there is any other WY to make it release air from each corner.
Any suggestions or help from someone who experience this issue before, would be gladly appreciated.
Cheers
PS: Sorry for the long post and grammar mistakes

This may sound obvious and you may have already tried this, but unhook the battery overnight and try again the next day. You said it was way low, then the raise button put it at 'normal' height, but raise should put it at raised height even with STAR lowering programmed in at least mine does. I wonder if it just used it's level after sitting as some sort of default and is now all confused. I've been amazed what battery unplugging/ecu discharging can fix with quirky issues like this.

Thanks for your replies.
I found out, that the selenoid for realese air on the compresor was totaly rust and stuck.
So, I clean it, and still save it without the need to replace the whole compressor and just installed it back and automatically went down a little.
Connect Star, introduce the values to lower it to the height it was before and VOILA!!... Back to a COOL lowered E55.

I'm an absolute noob here when it comes to cars and I have literally scoured the whole internet to find someone who has the same problem as me!
Was this release air part easy to get to?
My ML300 is stuck in raised position.... I'm thinking after a super wet winter and muddy roads, there might be some crud stuck up in there
cheers,
