C55 vs E55

C55 vs E55
What do people think of this comparison? The E55 is 0.5 sec faster to 60 but the C is about 30 K cheaper. What other factors come into play when deciding between these two?

Other factors are the E55's many more standard and optional features as well as the status that comes with it. On top of all that, you get the "ultimate" AMG powerplant available unless your ready to drop another $80K-$90K on top of the cost of an E55 for an S65/SL65/CL65. All I can say is that if you have the money to pick up an E55, do it. You wont regret it.

04 E55
I traded a C32 for an E55 so can comment based upon some experience. The stereo was a factor which has now been wiped out since the C55 comes with the Logic 7 system also. In stock forms the E55 still comes out ahead speed wise, but that alone probably doesn't justify the extra cost. I think it comes down to comfort and styling. I like the looks of the more substantiall E55, especially the rear of the vehicle. And I'm a big person so am more comfortable in the seats than I was in the C32. The bolsters were very confining. If size isn't a big factor, the C55 certainly is a more agile car and I'm sure modding potential will be great with the V8.

And a Honda Civic with $25K worth of mod can kill the C55 with the Kleeman upgrades. What's the point?
The E and C are different classes of cars. Can't really compare the two. Why not compare it to the S while your at it.

The E55 is a beauty and definitely more luxurious than a C. Most E buyers also don't care about its major handling deficinicies. Personally, I'd go with a C55 + Kleemann SC.... just enough luxury, faster and it will definitely handle better. I like the bigger MBs, however, I'm a bit tired of their handling dynamics.
