And the seats seam to go lower than in my 04 E55. Did MB change this? This is on gripe I have about my E, the seat doesn't lower very low.

WHile I dont have a factual answer for you I can say that MB did change the seat base and back for the late 2004 production E55 and E500/E320. A friend got a late build 2004 Tectite Grey E55 and his seat looks and feels different than mine. The entire bottom portion of the seat is now leather covered and the back rests has larger indentations to allow more knee room for rear passengers.

This new frame may allow the seat to go lower than before but I honestly do not know. But I agree that it could go lower in my car. I like to sit on the floor and the E seat frame does not allow it. Not something I really worry about though but comfort is very subjective.
