Stranded in Nashville - need a new key
Hi there, got a friend that is driving in his 2020 AMG E63 from Austin to NYC with his wife, dog etc.. Outside of Nashville he left the key on top of the roof (ugh, crap happens) and drove off.
Got gas at a gas station later and realized that he doesn't have the key anymore. After some searching found the key but it got run over and is crushed. Contacted the local Nashville dealership and they said the earliest they could get him a key is by Wednesday (If he's lucky).
Does anyone have an idea on how or where to get a key quicker than that or how to get him back on the road?
They are the best people and deserve a break. Any and all help would be much appreciated!

This place is a joke.
Only a dealership can provide and program a key. Since the only key for the car has been lost, there is a process and paperwork the dealership must file in order to get a new key shipped from MB, which can take two days or more. This is a good lesson to always travel with a second key. Every new MB comes with two keys.

Used keys cannot be programmed. Some dealerships might stock blank keys but this requires another working key and the car physically present to program it.

Has he tried placing the crushed key in the specific ashtray/console compartment? There is a small chance the transponder may still read.
