This place is a joke.
I think you need a new specialist.

take the car to a mechanic that understands MB cars and has the diagnostic tools to solve your issues

Advice, crap shoot

Tore further into my sick Mercedes missfire #1 while waiting for parts. Had a theory about injectors since that was the only thing I had not checked since its time to replace anyway (240,000).
Looking at the valve timing I found the timing chain had jumped time. My question now is should I change only the chain and tensioner (easy), or timing chain, guides, and tensioner (sort of easy), or total engine rebuild (expensive, more harder). What are my percentages for a bad breakdown in the next 20,000 miles?

Honestly unless your plans are to drive the car past 400k miles (in which I'd recommend the total rebuild), I'd just grab a good used engine at a local yard or on Ebay, there are ones just over 100k miles for around $2k and takes an afternoon to swap. Then you can always part our or keep and rebuild the other motor at your own pace. You won't find any hard and fast percentage numbers as most of us probably have about 100k miles less than you on the clock, a lot of these cars are not daily driven so breakdowns and issues are all over the place as far as age and mileage.
