Hello,
Would an AMG navigation/radio unit from the USA (same model and year vehicle) work in an Australian W211 E55 AMG?
I was thinking of replacing mine due to some screen damage?

Personally I would swap it out to a aftermarket that blends in like factory and gains CarPlay and Android Auto. The company Xtrons makes 2 diff models. While I have not swapped out my E yet I did do my G wagon. I used black gloss vinyl on the sides to make it blend in like stock as I wrapped the wood pieces in gloss black too. In my E I have real carbon so will use gloss black there to make it look best too.

I liked I could set the button color to orange to match inside and easily program steering wheel controls. Even got to add a mute button by using the hang up phone button since I just use my Bluetooth headset for all phone calls.

US Amazon link but they have a main site too I just have this in my cart to order soon. My G just needed the optical decoder they make and it was all plug and play with no wires to cut.

I was leaning more towards originality...but depends on $$$ and availability
