E55 AMG Coil Conversion Pricing/Time.

Hello All, so my air suspension is not working on my E55 Very well so I ordered Suncore coil over kit. Yes they are the cheapest! I took it to my mechanic and he said he has to remove the Axle to install. An additional 7 hours!

Now I wondering if this is normal? Total install time 13 hours. Or I'm willing to buy a higher end coil kit as I dont believe they require that much time.

I'm open to suggestions and would love to hear from others who have done this. And can I do it myself?

Thanks again All. Karl

Is he dropping the rear subframe to remove the rear air reservoirs? If so, just cut the hoses and leave the reservoirs...

You don't remove everything... only the air bag. Total cost me $2K about 5 years ago and no problem at all.
1K Coilover
$300 control arm (E320)
$100 Alignment
$600 installation
