Meaning of ring light on odometer ?
Just driving home from work on my 2014 E63 AMG , all of a sudden I saw a ring of small rounded lights right beneath the speed indicator , spreading from 50 mph all the way to 200 mph . At the same time the car feels like somebody push the brake pedal when I lift my foot of the gas pedal . The car did not stop immediately , but slow down a lot more than normal . It feels like the brake pads were not completeky release . Parking brake is in off position . After I stop the car and restart , the lights disappear and the car feels normal without any friction ... ??? Any explanations or suggestions would be appreciated . Thank you ..BTW the Mercedes dealer just completed a B2 routine maintenance on my car a few days ago . No issues reported except the rear brake pads are 30 percent left .. Does that have anything to do with this incident ??

Wrong forum to post (this is w211 so 2003-2007 model years), but I'd bet money you bumped the cruise control stalk, so if the speed was set lower the car would slow down like that. Our '13 GL63 lights up the speedo to what the cruise control speed is set at. I wouldn't worry about it, just watch your hands when going for turn signals and the downshift paddle! Try actually turning cruise on next time you drive and see if it does the same thing, then you'll know.
