Electric Trunk problem

Hey guys!

I am new to this forum and reach out to you with a tricky problem:

My trunk opens electrically, yet it does not go down again fully. I have made a video here:

https://youtu.be/mvgjRQx5i4U

I have already checked the wiring and installed a new controlling unit but to no avail.

Does someone of you maybe habe a further idea?

Thanks in advance!

If you have not already done so, you should do a deep search of this forum and the 219 (CLS55/63) forum as others have had this issue. Good luck and welcome.

I have this issue.

What has occasionally worked for me is to HOLD the close button as the trunk lowers as long as I can.

I don’t know if this is the proper training process, but it’s worked so far (this week).

Subsequent closes work with a single quick press of the button.

Have you tried using the button on the door panel to close the trunk? You need to hold it in the closed position until it fully closes.

This is still successful for me.

I did have to retrain it after disconnecting the battery for some other work that I did on the car. But, after retraining once, it works fine.
