Valve cover gaskets done, any advice on intervals?

*Internals not intervals.

CLS55, 117xxx miles. Did my valve cover gaskets yesterday and I notice some members take pictures when the valve covers are off to showcase internals(springs, valves, etc..). I do all my own work on this M113K but I am not well versed in the more intricate parts of the engine. I'm aware the M156 has scoring issues as well as other problems so I am seeing if the M113K has anything I should worry about. I’ll post pictures below and I am just looking for input on the condition of my internals or if there’s anything else I need to watch out for.

Your pictures serve no purpose as they are all just the outside of the mechanical parts that do not touch anything....timing chain yes but eveything else no.
But with that being said the only thing that will show wear is the rocker shaft saddles in the cylinder head and judging by how clean everything looks someone has been changing the oil very often and that's very good for longevity.

I figured the pictures would be mostly useless and I’d have to remove the camshafts to see internals. It’s good that things look clean because I have no “bad examples” to go off of and what damaged parts look like.

That's very clean in there for 117k so just run a good oil and use at least a 5w-40 due to miles and your fine.

Why is it better to run 5W? I’ve been running Bizol protect 0w-40 since it’s the one oil that I’ve found that quiets the oil pump gear whine the most.

Yes that's what I run as well and pump is more quiet. But as miles grow...so doe's bearing clearance's and a slightly thicker oil helps.
If all is well with Bizol than leave it. I actually bought 15 gallons of the 0-40 and 10 of the 5-40 LOL Only Walmart sells it on line for some reason.

That makes sense, I'll have to do some research and eventually transition to 5W. Nice, stocked up! First thing when I got my CLS55 and got on this forum I started seeing what oil works best and many people said Bizol but also said its impossible to find in the US. I was also surprised that its on the Walmart website
