Problems with my E55.

I have had my 2005 E55 for upwards of two weeks now, I followed the full break in procedure (under 85 and 4k rpm) and currently have 2k miles (fast i know). I have the keyless go option and twice now my car has turned off on me while driving. Both times were at slow speeds around 10mph and of course when the car is off power steering goes out, so I pull off the road and it starts right back up. I am confused as to what caused this problem and my dealer cant figure it out either and he just says "the computer can't pull up anything, use your key manually". I bought the keyless go option for a thousand dollars for a reason: so i wouldnt have to use a key! Also, earlier this week the ESP, ABS, and BRAKE lights all turned on simultaneously, I let it cool off for a few hours then they all went away. I have yet to take it to the dealer for that. Has anyone experience any of these problems? Is my car a lemon? I am dreading taking it to the dealer after the horror stories posted here.

TIA

Low speed stalling is a common problem seem in the W211 E55. It happens very infrequently and there is no reliable fix for it. The computer never registers a fault code and this makes diagnosis very difficult. My dealer changed my plugs and wires, and flushed the fuel injection system but the problem recurred a couple of weeks later. It is always at low speeds and often when entering a turn. It has been over six months since the last stall, however. Yes it is a pain, but the good overshadows the bad.

Just talked to my service advisor and she said that if the problem doesnt reoccur then dont bring it in. Simple diagnostics from the simple minded.

Do a search on "stalling". Mine also was doing this. Died 4 times, usually in very heavy stop and go traffic. No codes, no "check" lights. After the third time, the GM of my dealer offered me a new car (nothing like a good dealer!). Twice they have slightly increased the idel RPM. After the second time, it hasn't died since.

EXACTLY! What a stupid comment by the service advisor. Tell them another member here had the same thing and due to the TREMENDOUS safety issue, was offered a new car. No questions asked. I've said it a million times. Dealer makes all the difference.

I have 500 miles on my '05 E55 and today it stalled out. I had just restartes about 30 minutes after a 10 mile trip and backed out on a very slight uphill grade from a parking stall, when shifting from reverse to Drive-stall occurred. Tranny was on "C."

Going to the dealer for an evaluation.

Thank you very much

Unhappy

Stalled again, after 8 mile trip and 15 minute cool down, when shifting from Park to Reverse.

I'll update when dealer looks at it on Monday.

Thank you very much
