Motor Mount Help, Steering Rack Cover Removal
I reviewed many of the helpful threads here and the easiest way to do motor mounts seems to be removal of the steering rack support. These four bolts here. I have a few questions
- All 4 18mm bolts are unbelievably tight. Is this normal? I had to use a 42 inch breaker bar plus a cheater bar plus heat just to get them to move a little
- What is the torque on these bolts, when I need to put them back?
- I know the bottom two bolts have nuts on the other side I need to hold with a wrench. But it looks like the top two connect to the steering rack directly, and can be blasted off with an impact only, is this correct?
