What's up gang. I am not one to condone or be in a street race, but it was a two lane open road with nothing in sight, clear day - plus I was very curious how the car can do against some of these newer American muscles with the mods - third E55 for me, all 2006s, and this was one definitely feels the strongest.

Anyway, looked like a base model C7 - not a Z06 etc. and it was an auto. He must have seen the heat exchanger on mine and wanted to run. Did four runs, only two were clean. First one from a 40mph, I pulled about 1/4 car ahead instantly and it stayed that way until 130, with me edging maybe a little more. Second run from 30, I spun a bit and I think he did as well and it was even until 120. Good dude, and seemed thoroughly impressed.

I thought these C7s were faster or maybe the ol' M113K I have is a freak. Mods in sig.

Anybody have experience? Looks like they're low 12/high 11s @ 119-120mph, which seems about par with my mods. Stock headers here.

My buddy bought a C6 with LS3 engine last winter. We did 4 runs. From dig, 20, 40 mph.... I won every time by 1 to 1.5 car length.
From my understanding the C6 is lighter but the transmission shift very slow...

That makes sense because you have headers too, better top end than me. Not sure on how the C6 compares to C7 (haven't looked it up), but assuming the C7 is faster than the predecessor?

My sl55 is faster than a C6 snd I know my e55 is much faster than the sl55 which is a sled

Yea, I can see that with the C6 but thought the C7 would be a good bit faster..

They are faster from a dig

The C6 has 430hp and C7 456hp. But C6 transmission is very slow response but the car weight less than C7. I would say C7 only a bit faster than C6.
