Stats courtesy of the Apple Watch.

After reassembly (and plugging in the pump in the trunk) testing each bladder went well, except for the test drive when I never really felt the side bolsters pushing. Then I remembered the "Dynamic" button that's out of sight on the bottom side of the dynamic seat controls. Then I felt them pushing me, even on neighborhood turns.

The seats feel a lot better. Like modern seats. It's like I got a new set of dynamic sport seats for the car. Pretty cool.

I never expected this to take as much time and energy. I really got to know the car. Every single one of these bladders was cracked, dry, and wouldn't hold air.

I would recommend that everyone make sure that their bladders work. They do enhance the car.

I can't say that I would suggest weekend warriors like myself take this on. It's not an easy job. Not difficult, just tedious. There are a lot of steps for disassembly and assembly. This is, by far, the most challenging and time consuming job I've done on this car. More than changing the front belts or rear shocks for sure.
How many air bladders are there total in the seat? I am talking to an independent upholstery shop in my area about fixing these seats but we need to know how many air bladders total there are in the seat before we can order the parts and start on it.

From memory, there is one rectangular one in the lumbar area, one on each side of your torso, and one supporting your thighs. So, four total per seat.

You should be able to find them here after putting your VIN in.

Is there 1 Thigh bladder or 2? From what I am reading on here I am wondering if there are two thigh bladders on the bottom cushion bolsters.
Also after putting my VIN in on the website I am not finding any parts for the seat bladders. I am finding brackets/crash air bags etc but not the seat bladders. Are they discontinued? Or do you have a specific part number I can use to search?

What year is your car?

Give me an hour or two. I’ll see what I can find out after dinner.

Here is the shopping cart for the parts for both front seats when I spec'd them out at https://mbparts.mbusa.com/ like a year ago and saved the screenshot as a PDF. Those prices will likely be cheaper than what they will quote you at the parts counter. When you order there...it goes to the same parts counter, lol. If you get a cool person, they'll match the price on the spot without making you order through MBUSA.

This is an old screenshot, so the prices may be different now.

Part numbers:
  • Leg extension bladder: 000-910-18-75
  • Side bolster bladder (not sure if right or left): 211-910-11-75
  • Side bolster bladder (opposite side of the one above): 211-910-12-75
  • Lumber bladder: 211-910-07-75

One note: The side bolsters and thigh bladders didn't fit perfectly. I think either the parts were redesigned or the parts person ordered the facelift bladders as W211 E63 (facelift) seats are slightly different. But, they all went in and worked as expected.

I know it’s a year old, but the part numbers I found are identical to yours and I have an ‘04 E500 Wagon, so not sure if the seats are the same between the 2 or slightly different. I’m going to try and order these on Monday, see what’s available, and report back.

Thanks for the write up! I just got my E500. Nothing on the Driver’s seat works and the passenger seat outer bolster popped on my last night when I went to inflate it! Faults show air leaks for the system, so no surprise.

Quick update on P/N’s:

The numbers for my car are as follows:

  • 211 910 07 75 - Lumbar adapter
  • 211 910 01 75 - L Bolster
  • 211 910 02 75 - R Bolster
  • 000 910 18 75 - Seat Bottom (211 910 14 75 is old P/N)

The left bolster number is NLA, according to Mercedes, so I found the part number 211 910 11 75 is still available, so ordered that to see if it fits. I believe the number is for AMG seats, so hoping it “fits” my seats since the number for my VIN is NLA. Coming from Germany, so I’ll see and report back when I get them in.

In the meantime, if anyone has P/N 211 910 01 75 they are willing to sell, LMK.

Thanks!
