Getting in and out of W211 E55
Now that ive had my car a week, Im noticing what its like to have the sportier seats. What ive also noticed is that since the side bolsters do come up, already im seeing the leather crease where my leg goes over to get out of the car. Anyone find a way to decrease this from happening? Maybe regularly using lexol and conditioning will help this from getting a lot worse?
I thought maybe using the easy entry option, but it doesnt seem to work with keyless go, and im not sure if it moves the seat upon exit...
Any thoughts/

When I was driving the W210 with no easy exit feature, I used one of the 3 presets as my customized exit, worked pretty well.

I think the only real way to avoid crease on the seats is to drive your car and get out of the car butt-naked. Only real sdlution. Otherwise, as the poster above suggested, the easy exit feature when the key is removed from the ignition.

I have no problem programming a button and doing it that way, but i thought the easy entry item in our menus is to have it do that along with the steering wheel. I cannot get that to work with teh keyless go.

i found this trick on autopia.org. Use a nice warm towel and put some of your favorite leather conditioner on the towel. The heat will iron out the creases and smoothen out your leather ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Totally agree that http://www.autopia.org is a great site for detailing info, but do you have a link to the advice you cite? I couldn't pull up anything similar, despite repeated searches.
Thanks!

I don't have the thread bookmarked off hand...but i'll try and do a search. I might have seen this tip cross-posted on detailcity.com. I follow both boards...so i can't remember which board I saw it on. But I'm pretty sure I saw it on both.
