Are these IAT's normal for this temp?

Hello my CL55 seems slower. The aux pump was replaced in the last year with 010. Is it just too hot in Miami? (Video shows IAT's)
The Question is are my IAT's too high for the temp outside?

before the run ambient temp 87f and the iat is 125f
When I did the run it went up to 159f
That was first run from a stand still

Second run 20 mph ambient still 87f and iat start is 132f, it was right after the first run. Iat ran up to 156f this time.

I am thinking of changing the coolant?

Should be 15-20 F over ambient when just cruising, assuming pump running. 125 seems high unless it had been heat soaked and not given enough time to cool down upon driving.

before that temp I had just cruised for a couple miles to that spot.

Flushed the system... pretty much the same temp, I guess it's way too hot and humid in Miami

You can split the cooling system loop and put in an additional rad. This way your supercharger coolant is on its own circuit and it won't get heated like the engine coolant.

Your starting pretty warm to begin with but a few tweaks here and there and you can bring the max temps down easy considering your on a stock pulley.
For what it's worth my 168-76 stack in 80+ temps will go to 140 on a very hard 3-4 pull on a very modded system and of course no ice in the tanks....just water.

Larger inter cooler and split the system should really help a lot.

Also, with the stock setup the secondary pump only runs when IAT rises above 40 degrees celsius. There are gains to be had to let it always run on ignition

Sorry to bump this old thread but I’m having literally the exact same IAT in the same ambient weather. Did you ever figure out the problem?

here is what you need to check from the easiest to the hardest (IF YOUR CAR IS STOCK)

1- make sure the system has no air ( so bleed the system well from the bleeding point)
2- make sure the supercharger water pump is working ( let AIT reach 45C then check if there is electrical current reaching to the pump from the connector) ( if not then this is your issue, however if the pump is not working then the temps should be much higher around 60c crousing on the highway...
3- supercharger water pump is weak due to age or because it is the bosch 003 part number ( if this is the case then replace it with the newer bosch 010 updated part number)
4- split the supercharger cooling system from the main car cooling ( there is many videos on youtube showing how to do that and the parts that you will need ) it is a very cheap mod that you can do at home in one hour tops
5- supercharger intercooler is clogged or dirty ( to fix that you will need to remove the supercharger from the car and remove the intercooler under the supercharger unit and clean it very well from outside with brake cleaner and from inside with soup and water or any radiator flush ...

now this is the only reasons for the stock setup to have high IATs

now if your car has crank or supercharger pulley upgrade then now it is a different story , yes of course it could be the same issues as above but with extra boost you need more cooling ( bigger heat exchanger) so if this is actually the case , then just check the first 3 points above and install a bigger intercooler.
