I know ive been wondering the same thing, but I dont want to use an oiled filter. I want either a stainless mesh filter or a foam one, but it seems the manufactutrers of those stick to rice cars.

Having K&N Filters is a myth. They produce little to no gain in HP or torque. In fact some owners of K&N filter have complained of pieces of the filter have broken off and got sucked into the engine. As for me, I am going to go stock all the way on the intake. I get my evosport pullies installed next week.

K&N filters are in no way a myth. We have done several real life tests with them, and they definitely make power. More air flow(on any car) means more power.

Not all the time. To achieve the most airflow is to remove the airbox and filter... totally no restrictions.

The airfilter is only a part of the solution. The restricted airbox intake funnel is the other.

Yes,

All the time.

Anytime you replace a factory filter with a K&N it WILL make more power.

I agree. I dont know how people can think that having an air filter that allows more air through it wont help power numbers. You will ALWAYS make more power, just that some cars will make more off a high flow filter than others and yes, getting rid of the stock airbox will help even more, but still a high flow air filter added to the stock airbox will make more power than a stock airbox with a stock filter.
