CLS55
Here is a link to the product: https://x.alibaba.com/AunK21

Looks like they are sold out. I didnt take any pics while it was up on the lift, and taking a pic now would be a PITA. I'll try to get something on here soon.

CLS55
On CLS55 I have MBH long tube headers and their cats, resonator replaced with Magnaflow X-pipe which is little further back, and stock mufflers. In my opinion it is very civilized when driving normally, at least inside the car. And no drone at all. When stepping on gas it is quite loud but nothing terrible inside. Cold start is pretty loud though. Some time ago on dyno heard it first time outside and was little surprised how loud it was behind the car during dyno pull. Could not imagine that from driver's seat and especially when driving normally.

Exactly, the CLS55 is very well isolated. I was also shocked by the sound level outside of the car. And this is with stock headers, stock downpipes & cats and stock mufflers. Only center resonator has been deleted. Let alone with LTH and Xpipe

I’m going with American Racing Headers based not only from their build quality, but also the fact that they seem to be the “only” manufacturers that incorporate the OEM “Tranny Bracket” on each side for stability and they have a mid-Pipe Bend allowing the pipes to go over the Mid-Body Cross Brace, which other manufacturers simply ignore thus requiring you to have to permanently remove it! That’s simply a dealbreaker for me! I am so looking forward to installing them too, with Cats of course!

If I were to pick headers again for my car (I've used long tubes from various companies over the years for the prior E55s I owned), 100% would be ARH. Something about that company is just raw and their quality is just awesome, unlike some other manufacturers.

Why no headers now?

Just not for me anymore, no more numbers or records. I want a quiet car (HELL NO TO EV) with big ***** for everyday fun with a surprise factor to boot for unexpecting folks.

I'm with you I'm just wondering if you can tell a large enough difference between a stock pulley and an 83 mm pulley and tune without touching the exhaust.

Oh absolutely. Don't get me wrong, headers add good power and across the band; they also serve as great for reducing bay temps. These cars generate so much damn heat, especially under boost..

But a simple 83 upper with a box (no dyno tune) cable tune (exactly what I have) transforms the car completely and it comes alive even more so than stock from the goose and just rips in the colder months. I much prefer an upper and tune car vs a headers tune car for instance. I just prefer that setup more for my driving style and wants with the car.
