Quick update - differential is coming out, just to try to eliminate it from the list. Will have a pro shop take a look at it, perhaps do bearings, definitely replacing axle seals.

Rebuliding the diff did fix this issue for me ! I also did rear sway bar links at same time (but unlikely the sway bar was the issue). I did not replace the axles, as the boots were intact.

Thanks for the reply but thank you mostly for being so detailed with your process and findings. Sounds like you did much of the work yourself, were you able to do the rear diff or did a shop take care of it?
