The issue, I see is finding the right wheel offset to fit a 265/35-18 onto, that gives your enough clearance for the calipers. That don't push the wheel out past the front fenders thereby causing a rubbing issue on suspension compression and not rubbing the inside of the fender liners.

The wheel itself will clear the calipers no problem, I've checked the clearance on the upper control arms. Unclear about the poke. Trying to see if anyone has tried this with out having to pull or roll the fenders. I've heard of 275s on the front but not sure what offsets they are running.
That's what I'm running on my car (with 275's, actually), and yes, they will fit, but they stick out a little too far for my taste.
To make it all work properly, I put on a set of the adjustable upper control arms to pull the top of the wheels in, and also slotted the lower arm holes in the frame to pull the bottom in, thereby getting my camber to about -0.5 deg. and the wheels just flush with the upper fender arch.
You know what I just realized my old e55 had cls 55 wheels when I bought them. They had CLS rear wheels on all 4 corners with 275/35 18s
correct me if I'm wrong arent the cls55 wheels 18x9.5 +28?
I guess I answered my own question.
CLS55 wheels are 19s (8.5 et 25 front, 9.5 et 28 rear). I have them on my E55 with 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rear. The rear rubs if I'm too low, no issues with the front so far. I think the non AMG 211s had an 18 inch version of the CLS55 5 spoke style wheel...maybe those were the ones you had?

CLS also came with 18's. I've got the CLS 18's in the back of my E55 with 295/35 rubber. There was just a little bit of rub when I hit bumps, so I reprogrammed a higher ride height for the rear.

You mean the split spokes that came on the CLS500? The ones that look exactly like the stock E55 wheels but just wider and lower offset?
the picture I posted of the double spokes is what I had before. Not sure what the offset was but I think they were 18x9.5 +28
Yeah you had the CLS500 wheels. Stock E55 wheels are 18x8 et30 and 18x9 et39. The CLS500 and SL550 wheels are a popular upgrade for the E55 guys. They look the same but are wider and lower offset
Just fitted them today with 265/35 18 Continental tire on the front. They sit really flush to the fender but the tire has a slight stretch on the 9.5". On my stock rear wheels I have 265/35 18 nittos and the tires are pretty square on the 9.5. I'll put the rears on tomorrow and see how they look.

No issues with rubbing also didn’t need to roll the fenders. It might vary depending on the tire as well. The Continental tires have a tapered sidewall compared to some other tires.
