If it were me, I'd check out the BFG g-Force T/A DR's - the closest size they have for use with an oem wheel is 275/35 ZR18 (25.6" tall, with a 10.9" section width), compared to 25.3" tall and 10.7" section width for the oem 265/35 ZR18. I'm basing the recommendation on my experience with the old BFG Comp T/A DR's - great grip at the strip, but rapid wear on the street and no grip in the wet. BFG claims the g-Force T/A DR's have better wet grip than the old Comp T/A DR's - the tread pattern has changed a lot (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....FA+Drag+Radial).
Closest thing Nitto has is their NT 555R DR in a 285/35 ZR18 (25.91" tall, 11.22 section width). My experience is the Nitto's don't quite hook like the old BFG Comp T/A's DR's, but they are much more street and wet weather friendly. I ran a pair of Nitto DR's on my Vette for the better part of a year, with absolutely no problems.
From what I can tell, the MT ET Street DR's are not made in an 18" size - largest is a 275/40 17.

I was told by CCW (wheel manufacturer) that you can get a 17" rim on the back of an E55, so I would sayto go with a 275/40/17 BFG drag radial on a 17" drag wheel from CCW. www.ccwheel.com
